October 2011

We have given out 39 scholarships for kids to stay in their programs. The most recent was for gymnastics for a boy who has autism. This has helped him to be more social and focused. Thank you for all of your support.

 

June 2011

ORLANDO CITY SOCCER PRESENTS: FAITH AND FAMILY NIGHT!
  Come out and watch Orlando City take on Harrisburg City Islanders at the  Citrus Bowl on Friday, August 12th @ 7:30 PM for our Faith and Family Night Tickets are starting as low as $10! A portion of each ticket will go back to Christian HELP.
We are looking forward to having some great Faith Based Entertainment at our game, along with testimonials from our players. Along with that, we encourage each person to bring a canned food or good to give to Christian HELP to feed those less fortunate here in Orlando.

October 2010-

Kidworx has given scholarships to over 30 kids for sports arts and music programs.

January 2010-

Emily has been dancing since she was 6 years old. Her face lights up when she dances. Kidworx was able to help Emily's mom pay for 3 months of classes while she is looking for a job. She was so thankful.

October 2009-

The daughter of one of our Christian HELP donors decided to raise money for other kids. She raised money and her dad chipped in some matching funds for a $500.00 donation to kidworx. Because of her gift, kids will stay in their arts, sports, and music programs.

September 2009-

Adrianna was able to take one of the Kidworx applicants to Sports Authority for some of the equipment he needed for high school football. We made it a family affair and had a great time picking out his things. It was so great for him to go back to school with all he needed to start a winning season. It is amazing how much it means to someone to get a pair of brand new cleats and an under armour shirt!

August 2009-

We were able to negotiate with USSSA Baseball to pay half the team fees for one of the players. The team chipped in the rest.

July 2009-

When Yvette came in to see us about a job, we were able to share kidworx with her. Her son plays high school baseball and the $400 price tag was just too much for her to afford after losing her job. Yvette has been a fantastic volunteer for Christian HELP and kidworx and her kids have been so blessed by the program.

June 2009-

Karen, the mother of two twin girls was able to say YES when her daughters asked to play volleyball. She is a single mom struggling to make ends meet.

May 2009-

Our yard sale raised over $1600 to support the kids programs. Thank you to all of the volunteers and staff who helped with donations and acted as "sales people".

March 2009-

We just reached magic 13 as two scholarships were awarded to 2 sisters who love to play soccer, but were not going to be able to due to a job loss in the family.  Because of this wonderful program, we were able to step in and help!  Hugs were received all around the office!

January 2009-

Centra-care has come along side as as a partner to help kids get their needed physicals.  Low cost insurance alternative programs are available for those who do not have insurance, but still need healthcare. 

Come and see us on February 8th at Publix at Jamestown Center in Altamonte Springs.  The kids will be asking for donations for Charity Challenge drawing of chance tickets.

 

December 2008-

Kidworx has given scholarships to 6 kids this year for football, baseball, kung fu, cheerleading, and dance.  We are looking forward to expanding in 2009.  Our plans include reaching out to schools and youth groups to assist in our efforts of reaching children of the unemployed and getting them involved with the program.

June 2008-

 

Our second scholarship is awarded!  A young lady who was stricken with Leukemia as a child who loves to dance will be able to continue to do so thanks to the kids who have raised money for Kidworx. Her father had recently left the family and left them with serious financial issues.  Our committee of 5 adults and 9 children determined that this was a worthy cause.

 

May 2008- Yard Sale

 

Kidworx held a Yard sale on May 31st at Christian HELP's facility.  Thank you to everyone who contributed saleable items and their time.  This project raised over $1000.00 for scholarships! 

 

May 2008- I am the one grant

 

Channel 9 has awarded a $1,000 grant to Kidworx to support our program!

May 2008- First Kidworx scholarship is granted!

 

Kidworx was able to grant a $175.00 scholarship for the child who inspired the program to play football for his Pop Warner team.  We are so pleased that he will be able to rejoin his teammates for the upcoming season!
